Yes, ASC is a leader in the production of field-built autoclaves.  When a customer requests a large Econoclave with a diameter greater than 14 ft., ASC will perform a cost-benefit analysis to determine whether field-building makes sense.  This analysis factors in the cost and complexity of ocean and inland shipping of the autoclave.  If shipping costs exceed the additional cost for field erection, then ASC will recommend the field-built option.  

A new Econoclave requires many months to build.   As of Sept-2012, we are quoting approximately 30 weeks for small Econoclaves, 34 weeks for medium-sized units, and 50-60 weeks for large production units.  Of course, expedited delivery is always an option, but the improvement in schedule usually depends on how busy we are.

Yes, ASC sells used autoclaves.  However, often the price of a used autoclave in good operating condition tends to about he same price or more than a new Econoclave.   Because of this, we suggest that you ask ASC for a quotation on a new Econoclave before you buy used so that you can properly evaluate both the system cost and overal cost of ownership.  The Econoclave is design to function much more effiently than a typical autoclave.  

The price of an Econoclave varies based on diameter, length, operating conditions, and number of thermocouples, vacuum probes, and vacuum sources.  The prices range from a low of approximately $75k for an EC1x2 to $2M-$4M for large turnkey units.   Please submit a request form to ASC or contact our sales department for a fixed price quotation.
