Econoclave® Model: EC3X5
The Econoclave ® 3X5 is a very popular composite autoclave for small-sized composite part production or for use by laboratories or universities. It provides a usable diameter of 36” (914 mm) and a working length of 60” (1524 mm). You can choose from standard models that provide maximum operating temperatures of 450°F (232°C) and 800°F (427 °C) and maximum operating pressures of 150 psi and 200 psi.
Note: If you require higher operating conditions, ASC can configure a non-standard model.
- The working diameter is 36” (915mm) with a working length of 60” (1524mm).
- Aerospace-grade autoclave, designed for composite bonding and curing.
- Fully-integrated and 100% factory tested prior to shipping. A skid-mounted control system, power system, vacuum system, cooling tank (optional), and other auxiliaries are plumbed, wired, and tested at ASC’s factory.
- Pressure vessel designed to stringent ASME Division I, Section VIII requirements.
- Hydraulically operated quick-opening door using ASC’s all-forged, 3-piece ring technology and multi-redundant door locking safety system provides mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical interlock.
- CPC (Composite Processing Control) system, the most popular controls package in the world for composite curing.
- Econoclave ® eco-friendly design results in a smaller vessel and 20% energy and nitrogen savings versus a conventional autoclave.
- A high-capacity modular heater designed with sheathed Inconel heating elements for long life.
- Internal stainless-steel cooling exchanger for excellent cooling performance.
- Control valve package for pressure, cooling, and vacuum control. Featuring stainless-steel control valves, proportional actuation, and high reliability.
- High-capacity vacuum source lines with PC-controlled Vacuum/Vent valves for automated selection, isolation, and leak-testing.
- Each line includes a manual isolation valve and resin filter traps with a manual drain.
- Stainless-steel tubing
- Vacuum transducer for accurate bag vacuum recording and alarming.
- Proprietary sheet metal retaining requiring no fasteners, screws, or rivets to create future FOD issues.
