AAC concrete autoclaves

Steam autoclaves for aerated concrete.

Long, rail-loaded steam autoclaves that cure autoclaved aerated concrete evenly and safely, with the loading system built around them.

Aerated concrete curing

Built long for rail-car loading

AAC is cured with live steam. The autoclaves are usually very long so that rail cars can carry large loads straight through the plant and into the vessel, and they are sized to your block and panel production.

ASC recently delivered two 150 ft AAC autoclave systems to a building products manufacturer in Georgia. Each was lifted by two 500-ton cranes into the customer's recessed pit and installed by our field team.

What makes us different

Engineered for the plant, not just the vessel

Safety by design

Our field-proven quick-opening door, generous corrosion allowance, and a significant safety factor go into every AAC pressure vessel for many years of safe operation. Vessels are built to ASME, PED, or the code where they will run.

Even heat, end to end

Internal piping and steam distribution manifolds are engineered to your load and cycle time, for good heat transfer into the concrete and uniform temperature down the full length of the autoclave.

Door configurations

Vertical swing, side swing, or davit rotating doors. Each field-proven design is adapted to your facility and production workflow.

Loading systems

ASC can deliver the autoclave with a fully integrated rail system, loading system, carts, and automated pit bridges, designed around your plant.

FAQ

AAC autoclave questions

What is autoclaved aerated concrete?

Autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC), also called autoclaved cellular concrete (ACC), is a lightweight, highly insulating concrete-based material used for internal and external construction. It installs easily and can be routed, sanded, and cut on site with standard carbon steel tools.

How are AAC autoclaves different from composite autoclaves?

AAC autoclaves cure the concrete with live steam rather than heated gas, so they are externally insulated and have no circulation fan. They are usually very long, to take rail-car loading and large part loads.

Does ASC build AAC autoclaves in the United States?

Yes. ASC is one of the only domestic US manufacturers of autoclaves for aerated concrete curing. We have delivered 150 ft long AAC systems, set in the customer's pit by 500-ton cranes.
