CPC software

Every feature a composite cure depends on.

CPC combines equipment control, cure recipes, pre-run integrity checks, complete data records, and automatic quality analysis in one system, refined over decades with the aerospace companies that use it.

Before the run

Load setup, parts, and security

Part entry

Operators enter parts from scratch, from the part database, or by barcode, then assign thermocouples, vacuum sources, and probes on a color-coded attachment form.

Parts on tools

Enter the tool once and add each part as a part-on-tool, inheriting the tool's attachments. There is no limit to parts per cure.

Pre-batching

Enter the next load while the current run is in progress, then make it current with one click to cut door-open time.

Part database

Selecting a part can select its recipe automatically, with checks that every part in the load can cure on the same recipe.

Security

Users and groups get configurable access to screens and functions, with automatic lockout and every login recorded.

Custom screens

Main, sensor, trend, P&ID, batch, run, recipe, and maintenance screens are all configured to your equipment and process.

During the run

Recipes and part temperature control

Direct equipment control

CPC drives every valve, motor, and actuator and reads every sensor directly, with PLC-style logic in ASC's own scripting language and multiple PID loops.

Recipes and segments

Recipes ramp temperature, pressure, and multiple vacuum headers segment by segment, and switch modes, motors, pumps, and alarms as the cure progresses.

Watch groups

Segments end when watched sensor values reach their targets, combined with AND and OR logic, instead of on a fixed timer.

Cascade part control

Air temperature is driven a set amount above the parts to bring them to temperature, controlling on the high, low, average, or median part TC.

Gradient and rate control

Real-time limits on part and load thermal gradients, and closed-loop rate control that corrects for exotherms and pressurization.

Vacuum line control

Each line can be set to vacuum, off, or vent, and a leaking part can be vented or isolated automatically based on its probe.

Integrity checks

Five checks before every cure

Developed with The Boeing Company over many years, CPC's integrity checks must all pass before an automatic cure can start.

Field check

Validates the part entry fields: no blanks, no duplicate serial numbers, and the right number of characters.

Sensor check

Confirms every attached thermocouple and vacuum probe reads within its tolerance band.

Header check

Proves each vacuum header can be controlled to set levels with the required stability.

Drawdown check

Catches loading errors, such as an unconnected or mismatched vacuum line, before they ruin a part.

Leak check

Closes the vacuum sources, waits, and fails any part that leaks more than the allowed amount.

Saved reports

Each check produces its own report, printable before the run and saved in the run's datafile.

After the run

Data, reports, and quality

Complete run datafiles

Every run saves part and attachment information, the full recipe, integrity reports, alarms, and interval sensor data in one file.

Run database

Search runs, parts, and alarms across one CPC system or many. Data can also be parsed to a remote SQL or ODBC database.

Reporting and analysis

Numeric, trend, alarm, and recipe views with zoom and statistics, export to Excel, and batch, numeric, trend, message, and quality reports.

Automatic quality analysis

Quality cards check air and part temperature, rates, pressure, vacuum, and soak times phase by phase against your specification.

Calibration

Step-by-step linear and multi-point calibration of thermocouples, RTDs, and transducers, with printable reports.

Certification

Check and record sensor readings at defined levels with tolerance checking, producing a concise certification report.

Up-time and access

Redundancy and remote operation

Dual-PC redundancy

In a Level II system, PC-B backs up every configuration and run in real time and takes over control if PC-A fails.

PLC redundancy

Redundant PLC processors and communication links, or a duplicate PLC rack for smaller equipment.

Client-server

CPC-Server runs the equipment and CPC-Client runs the screens, so control rooms, maintenance, quality, and clean rooms can all connect.

Web and cloud access

Optional secure web access on your network, and a cloud version for remote monitoring, reports, cure programming, and data analysis.

Email and text alerts

Optional email and SMS messages with process data, alarms, and run status, including replies to emailed requests.

No chart recorders needed

With dual-PC redundancy, standalone setpoint controllers and paper recorders are unnecessary, though we can quote them.
