ASC designs, fabricates, wires, inspects, and tests its equipment in Valencia, California. We build vessels up to 17 ft in diameter and 150 ft long in the shop, and up to 32 ft in diameter in the field.
Capabilities
Engineering and fabrication in-house
Pressure vessel fabrication
We build every autoclave pressure vessel ourselves, in the shop or in the field, to ASME, PED, China, JIS, and other codes. Turning rolls and sub-arc welding give us capacity for up to 15 vessels at once, built by our own certified welders.
Mechanical fabrication
Welders, fabricators, plumbers, and fitters build every mechanical system on our equipment, from large welded structures to our own heat exchangers, electric heaters, water tanks, valve racks, burners, and combustion chambers.
Electrical fabrication
A full design-build panel shop certified to UL 508, CE, and CSA. Our electricians build the control systems, integrate them on our equipment, and install them in the field worldwide, including retrofits of customer equipment.
Design and project engineering
In-house mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers design 100% of our equipment and hundreds of retrofit projects a year, using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Ansys FEA, CFD, FluidFlow piping analysis, and Compress vessel software.
Quality and inspection
An ISO 9001 certified quality system covers everything we do, run by a full-time quality manager, document control, and inspection staff. Every assembly and sub-assembly we fabricate is 100% inspected and tested.
Test and startup
Compressed air and 500 psig compression systems and nitrogen generation let us pressure test autoclaves in-house, so equipment ships proven and starts up faster on site.
Heavy fabrication
Built for very large vessels
Our crane capacity, turning rolls, and welding equipment are sized for multi-ton pressure vessels. For vessels too large to ship, the same team builds on site: see field-built autoclaves.
- Two 40-ton overhead bridge cranes, 80 tons in tandem
- Two 20-ton overhead bridge cranes, 40 tons in tandem
- Six 10-ton and five 5-ton overhead bridge cranes
- Turning rolls from 20 to 135 tons
- Seven sub-arc welding tractors
- 12 ft weld manipulator and rotating weld positioners
- More than 100 MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines
- 500 psig compression system for high-pressure testing
- Nitrogen generation system
- Fourteen forklifts plus boom, scissor, and articulating lifts
