Shipping & Receiving Clerk
Join the ASC operations team at our headquarters in Valencia, California.
What you will do
- Supervises loading and unloading of all delivery trucks.
- Assures compliance with workplace safety procedures.
- Inspects deliveries per ASC’s Receiving Inspection procedures and processes non-conforming deliveries.
- Labels and stores received goods appropriately.
- Maintains shipping and receiving logs and maintains files of shipping records.
- Processes loss freight or shipping damage claims.
- Verifies freight bills with accounting and resolves errors with carriers.
- Prepares packing lists bill of ladings and other shipping documentation as necessary.
- Performs other duties as needed or requested by management.
What helps you succeed
- A high school diploma and 1-2 years of related experience.
- Good communication skills with management and co-workers.
- Regular use of telephone for communication.
- Type minimum 30 wpm and basic knowledge with Microsoft Office.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods is common.
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations.
- Heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs required to move boxes and other goods.
