FLEXTIME - Stahltronic WCS positioning system
General information
The Stahltronic WCS positioning system is a moderately priced positioning system for cranes and hoists.
- Contact-free absolute encoder device for linear measurement
- Continuous determination of the present position
- No reference points necessary
- Resolution: 0.833mm = 1200 position counts/ m
- Reading distance: 0.1 cm ....327 m
- Reliable reading up to a travelling speed of 12.5m/sec
- No calibration and adjustment required
- For straight and curved sections, ring and star forms
- Code rail only required in positioning areas
- Many possibilities of connection to all control equipment
- Possibility of connecting 4 reading heads to one interface module
- Heating for reading head for temperatures down to -40°C
How FLEXTIME communicates to the WCS
FLEXTIME can be connected to the WCS one of two ways:
- DeviceNet
- Profibus-DP
